The sound of Martha van Straaten can be described as the patchwork of a thousand joyful days in the sun. Her fond love for colorful tunes from all over the world is the pure essence of treasures and discoveries she made on her neverending journey. While travelling she dives deep into the local culture and absorbs all the patterns, habits and sensual sensations of her surroundings and knows to translate it into a multi-ethnic collage of sound. Martha van Straaten truly is shining bright: She brought her sound to countless countries on all five continents, happily performing in small-town clubs and main stages of this planets biggest festivals alike, always facing a most delighted audience. As she is always seeking new ways to express her understanding of intercultural links in music, Martha van Straaten produced a series of playful and carefully crafted edits which are also released on vinyl. Only a few of many steps on her long path that fans and colleagues alike watch and follow with honest delight.

VJ Jeyrototo is a newcomer and from the local feministic women´s collecitve WUT.
